About Mrs Tamara Szeker
Tamara Szeker holds a Bachelor (Honours) Degree in Music with an Excellent Grade for performing and teaching cello and chamber music. She worked as a full time cello and chamber music teacher at the School of Music and Performing Arts in Kaposvar (Hungary) for 5 years, teaching children and young people from the age of 5 to 23. She provided high quality and pleasurable music lessons to all of her students. Some of them have finished with gold, silver and other awards at music competitions county- and country-wide, and some of them have chosen music as their profession. Alongside her teaching practice, Tamara was a member of the Kaposvar Symphony Orchestra. She has a strong passion for early baroque and renaissance music, which led her also to play the Viola da Gamba (the ‘ancestor’ of the Cello) in several baroque music ensembles. In order to extend her pedagogical work, she worked with nursery children in Northampton for 4 years and gained Early Years Teacher Status at the University of Northampton in 2014.
